A Leader Committed to Growing People
Zahirin Ariffin established Zahin Solutions to make professional, approachable and credible financial planning accessible to more Malaysians. Under her guidance, the agency has grown steadily, developing graduates and experienced professionals into capable Life Planners.
She believes an agency leader does more than manage sales targets. They invest in the development, professional standards and confidence of their team. Her approach centres on honest planning so clients understand exactly what they are covered for.
Before the agency
Zahirin trained as an accountant. She read Economics, Accounting and Management at Cardiff University, qualified with the ACCA, and spent nearly four years as an auditor at KPMG in Kuala Lumpur before leaving in 2004.
She moved into financial advice that same year and has worked in it since, joining AIA in January 2014 and founding Zahin Solutions in the same month. More than twenty years in, the audit background still shows in how the agency works: read the document, check the numbers, and say plainly what is and is not covered.
What she works on herself
Alongside leading the agency, Zahirin still advises directly, and her own work centres on Islamic inheritance: faraid, hibah and the planning that keeps a family from finding its assets frozen while an estate is settled. It is the least understood part of takaful in Malaysia and the part where getting it wrong is hardest to undo.
